Greater Goods
Greater Goods is a company aiming to make a difference in the world by helping people live thoughtfully. They produce many items for the home, including kitchenware, bathroom scales, health products, and more.
My role at the company is to oversee, produce, and execute any and all video needed for our website, Amazon pages, social media, and other associated platforms. These include product showcases, getting started tutorials, and more. I’m involved with all aspects of production, from concept to final render.
Videos are selections from many projects and are not all-inclusive. To see more, check out our Amazon page or YouTube channel!
Verve Smart Scale
This project was a relatively huge undertaking for our team. For the first time, we were working primarily in 3D programs instead of real sets, and communicating with our China team overseas. Aside from storyboarding, editing, and managing production on this video, I animated all the text, a large portion of the 3D graphics, and recreated many app and UI elements inside of After Effects to allow for more versatile animations. Party of Four Cook Kit
One of our more intensive shoots and products, the goal for this video was to emulate the introduction to Chef’s Table on Netflix while also making our cookware lineup look and feel as premium as possible. A lot of time and effort went into this main showcase video and all the ancillary content that came afterwards, and I personally think it paid off. (2023)
Premium Kitchen Scale
A big product family for the business is our lineup of kitchen scales, which come in many colors and a few different variations. When the initiative came to revamp years-old content for the Amazon page, I wanted to really highlight all the colors and materials as much as possible in the video. This version is for the Stainless Steel variant, but there are also bespoke versions of the video for every color variant on our Amazon page! (2023)
(You can watch the video for version of the ‘Essential’ scale variant video here!)
Morning Groove Burr Grinder
With a full lineup of coffee products all launching very close to each other, the goal with this campaign was to give each product its own identity with a mini-walkthrough video. The grinder was particularly fun because of all the different ways we brainstormed to illustrate the product (and play around with our new macro lens). (2023)
(There are other videos for the Milk Frother, Coffee Scale, and Electric Kettle too!)
Morning Magic Coffee Collection
Along with the individual product showcases, we wanted to make a B-roll-centric video for the entire coffee family that showed off how they were all designed to go together. There was a lot to cover, but it helped that almost everyone in the office is a coffee fiend and wanted the drinks we had to make for the shots! (2023)
Cold Press Juicer
Any shoot where we get to experiment with a new piece of kit is a good one! For the juicer, we wanted to show off our auger, so we rented a probe lens to get as close as we could to the action. On top of that, we tried to step up our production design and composition, which I think is best exemplified by the ending topdown shot. (2022)
PEVA Bags
This project was a great reason to up our set dressing skills with all the different layouts and spaces.. It was also a nice challenge to tie everything together visually with the match cuts and transitions between shots, which was not something we had done very much of before. (2022)
High Capacity Kitchen Scale
This was the first video I made for Greater Goods, and I’m very happy with how it turned out. I took a lot of inspiration from tech company commercials, especially in the opening shot. The hardest part about this ad was honestly finding heavy enough things that could still fit on the scale! (2022)
Balance Health Getting Started
A bit of a different video compared to the other ones on this page, but a large and important part of our content responsibilities are pieces like these. It was no small task to cover up the screen recording banner on the phone footage, but it turned out pretty seamless in my opinion, (2022)
Exercise Ball
For the company’s fitness lineup, we had the gigantic task of commercializing 36 different SKUs simultaneously, which included 11+ video projects. For this video, my main focus was showing off the different colors we had available, and transitioning between them as seamlessly as possible. (2022)
